Get Involved

West Coast Paws is a 100% volunteer-based organization. We have a team-based approach to dog rescue and share the common goal of creating efficient processes that lead to successful adoptions.

There are many different ways to volunteer! Depending on the particular volunteer role, the time commitment can be as little as an hour per month or as much time as you have to give!

Check out our volunteer positions below, or send us a message for more information.

We’re always looking for:

Phone Interviewer

Spend as little as one hour a week calling potential applicants about their adoption applications.

Rescue Coordinator

Create biographies for adoptable dogs, review adoption applications, and coordinate with rescuers abroad.

Adoption Liaison

Review and approve applications, send approvals and invoice the rescuer, and answer rescuer and adopter questions/request information from rescuer and adopter.

Volunteer Liaison

Be a resource for answering volunteer questions, network to find more awesome volunteers to join WCP, and help keep our volunteer contact list up to date.

Marketing Liaison

Write content for our newsletter and keep our Instagram and Facebook up to date. Create and oversee Gofundme fundraising initiatives

Foster

Sometimes we need a little help when dogs arrive without an approved adopter, or in cases of emergency when an adopted dog must be rehomed.  Join our team as a foster and help make a difference in a furry life by giving them a warm, safe, loving space to decompress and learn to love while we work on finding their furever homes. We do our best to match your needs with the dogs’ needs. NOTE: WCP will cover all foster costs.

Foster Coordinator

Assist in approving fosters by reviewing applications, contacting landlord/vet offices, conducting phone screens and setting up home visits. Send out foster requests and facilitate meet-and-greets. Conduct monthly check-ins with fosters.

Accountant / Bookkeeper

Have experience with bookkeeping? We desperately need you for as little as 1 hour a week1
